It’s enough to make you wish you’d never seen That Bit of science-fiction movie Alien.
Expectant parent Karen and David McMartin snapped this photo of Karen’s pregnant belly, looking horrifyingly like a fully-grown face was trying to get out.
Karen was showing off her bump to colleagues at the Kazmark salon in the Scottish town of Irvine, Ayshire, when her boss noticed, saying “Oh my god, I can see a face!”
“No-one can believe how clear it is,” said David. “You can see a nose, mouth and eyes — even the cheeks.”
It’s all down to a coincidental belly-button-plus-skin-marks-plus-shifting-baby moment, but the result is a little too close to 1979 Sigourney Weaver for comfort.
David and Karen already have a daughter, Chloe, so it’s safe to say this bub will come out the normal way too. Probably.
